Civil Construction SupervisorThe Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to join our team for an immediate start in Port Hedland. The role would suit a motivated, driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Duties will include but are not limited to:This is a 10-12 week casual contract locally in Port Hedland.   • Overseeing works delivery crews, ensuring their understanding of the project requirements, scheduling of works, resource allocation and zero harm compliance
  • Ensuring all approvals are provided, prior to the commencement of works
  • Securing and coordinating necessary resources including plant, materials, subcontractors, gravel and construction water for the delivery of programmed works
  • Providing advice on technical matters as required
  • Regularly reporting of work performance including measuring, monitoring and reporting on KPIs
  • Signing off on documentation as required (job specific, WHS forms etc).
  • Maintain accurate, organised records both electronically and in hard copy formats 
  • Participate in daily PSI/Toolbox meetings

Essential Criteria:

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong supervisory experience across concrete, civil earthworks and formwork
  • Experience in scheduling and programming of routine maintenance activities
  • Demonstrable knowledge of road construction and maintenance practices, including materials selection for construction and maintenance
  • Sound understanding of pavement construction, bituminous surfacing and asphalting processes and techniques
  • Extensive experience with selecting and applying correct treatments for the execution of maintenance work
  • Ability to choose and assign appropriate plant and equipment for the execution of maintenance tasks
  • Ability to review and implement traffic management plans
  • High level of computer literacy, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong ability to work with others: clients, fellow workers, subordinates, and management
